Chinese New Year resources - the pack includes a PowerPoint full of information about the ancient myths behind Chinese New Year, how the festival is celebrated today and the symbolism behind the celebrations. The pack also includes two clips with questions, a quiz and a creative activity - making Chinese lanterns and describing ancient symbolism (instructions included).

A detailed and well-differentiated, editable history lesson all about the relationship between Elizabeth I and Mary Queen of Scots. Students explore the reasons why there was such a rift between the cousins and why Elizabeth eventually had Mary put to death through clips and differentiated information sheets before attempting a practice test question on their learning.
This lesson lasts 1 hour and is very easy to just pick up and use.

A fun lesson focusing on the significance of historical couples - created as a Valentine’s Day History lesson. The lesson will last up to two hours and is detailed, editable and suitable for Middle School (although could be used s a fun one-off with High School too).

Silly cereal-box trivia, a bit of English word-play, maths brain teasers and general knowledge thrown in for good measure.
The quiz is easy to use, interactive and editable. It’s designed for secondary students. You could tweak it for upper KS2 if you wished - but it is challenging.
I really hope you enjoy this, I enjoyed making it and tried to make it funny so teachers would enjoy using it too. Please note, the preview images have been uploaded so you can see what the resource contains. The PowerPoint is in the folder called ‘This is the Quiz’.

Created with a target age of 11 to 14, this challenging escape room should provide a fun and educational end-of-year activity for your students!
Set in the ancient Egypt exhibit at the British Museum, the escape room requires the students to follow a set of clues in their quest to find a missing scroll, believed to contain the secrets of the ancient Egyptian sun god, Ra.
Professor Evelyn Westwood, the renowned archaeologist who discovered it, has vanished under mysterious circumstances, and the scroll has gone with her.
By solving a collection of puzzles, your students will be guided from room to room on their quest to find a sacred missing artifact, the lost scroll of Ra.

Valentine’s Day tutor time resource pack. with a twist - it’s not all lovey-dovey!
The pack includes a PowerPoint full of information about the gory history behind Valentine’s Day, why the festival is celebrated today in the way it is and how the Romans and Christian Church changed the mid-February celebrations to suit their own objectives.
The pack also includes a clip task with differentiated questions, a quiz and a creative SMSC activity - making historically accurate Valentine’s Day cards. Everything is editable, well-differentiated and all information included, so you can just pick it up and go.

Black History Month resource pack - an assembly, a quiz and 3 hours (more just added!) of lessons which could be used over PSHCE, Tutor Time or Drop Down Days - two giving an overview of Black history up until the present day and one focusing on the famous speech of Martin Luther King.
This lesson covers the history of Halloween and why people celebrate it, but also how to celebrate safely - especially when it comes to ‘Trick or Treating’, from road safety at night, to choosing carefully which houses to knock the doors of.
